Type Rating course content

Ground training

The ground phase delivers the theoretical foundation necessary for pilots to progress to practical simulator sessions. This is delivered through a combination of classroom-based instruction and computer-based training.

  • Theoretical knowledge reinforced with interactive training to ensure a strong grasp of core concepts

Simulator training

The simulator phase takes place on RealitySeven full flight simulators, replicating real-world flight conditions to help pilots refine their technical and operational skills. The high-fidelity simulators simulate various flight scenarios, preparing pilots for real-life operations.

Prerequisites for Type Rating training

To enroll in our Type Rating program, trainee pilots must meet the following prerequisites:

  • At least 70 hours of flight experience as PIC on airplanes
  • A valid multi-engine IR(A) or ATPL(A) theory qualification
  • MCC course completion unless the Type Rating is combined with MCC training
  • Pilots with helicopter experience or single-pilot operations are also eligible if they meet specific requirements (contact us for more details)

Airline Operator Proficiency Checks (OPC), Low Visibility Operations (LVO), Extended Twin Operations (ETOPS), Zero Flight Time Training (ZFTT) or Base Training (Take-off and Landing)

**Winter promotion T&Cs

Discounted pricing is applicable for NEW simulator hire, and professional pilot training courses (the “Services”) that commence between 17th October and 31st December 2025. Bookings must be made between the 17th October and 15th December 2025.

In the event of cancellation of any confirmed booking(s) made in accordance with this offer, the cancelled booking(s) will be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of the price payable for the Services within the cancelled booking(s).
